I often ponder how ugly social media has become and why. There used to be recognition that you were entitled to your opinion. Now even physicians can't have an opinion without having to watch out for medical boards coming after them. I find not only social media, but journalists fall into the reporting whatever they are told to say by their news organizations. And then journalits complain that Trump has banned the Associated Press from the White House. I doubt social media will ever escape name calling, but I would hope journalists would recognize that labeling something misinformation isn't necessarily a fact and some of us will hold them accountable for their beligerance.

I will stop posting in comments if it appears I am just fueling an argument. If I am unsure of facts, I use AI, primarily ChatGPT, Grok, Cici, and DeepSeek, usually more than one alone, to check myself.
