The South, Where People Have Kids
Reflections on a beautiful evening
Many young people are deciding not to have children. But not all of them! Friday evening my wife Jan, daughter Elysa and I went to the Silos of Easley, in Easley, SC.
It’s an outdoor venue with food, drinks and live music. And guess what? Young families and children everywhere; playing, running around and filling the air with laughter.
Make fun of the south, make fun of Appalachia. But the future belongs to those who show up. Which means having children.
And that's what I love about the South
Thank God for small towns and families having children.
