Dr Leap: I smile and remember so many like experiences during my time in the ED- 35 years ( give or take a few I spent in open heart recovery). It is a culture of its own; I know one time after an most exhausting shift, I just said out loud”Lord, give me strength “ when a confused little old lady popped her head out from behind the curtain and said “pray for me too honey”! I had to laugh.
It's a time and place out of time and place. Thank you! Fortunately God has given me the gift of sleep. Brother, I can fall asleep anywhere, almost anytime and in any position. I've had a week off and have slept so wonderfully. I feel as if I've had a real sabbath.
I can't imagine brother or maybe I can due to past experiences with Law braking individuals. I will continue to pray for you and all those who work tirelessly to help others in need. God Bless, Mike

Sometimes they say the most wonderful things and make it all worthwhile!
It takes a person with love, to love those without love.
Bless all who serve, and those who are served. Give them strength, courage and wisdom.
Edwin Leap, thanks for sharing your stories and calling.
Thanks for your kindness James!
Most people in this world never get to meet the patients of the night. Thank you for giving a glimpse into the world of midnight medical miracles.
May God make your pillow soft, and even though you have to sleep fast - may it bring rest to your body, mind, and soul.

Have you ever heard the saying, “Here comes Jesus in His annoying disguise”?
I heard that a lot in my head during night shifts in the PICU.
I have never heard that but I love it! Thank you!
I feel this deep down! I no longer work the night shift; but I did hundreds of times and you (as always) tell it like it is. Jesus help them!
It has worn me down, but I don't think I'd trade the memories for normalcy. Indeed, Jesus help them all...
Thank you for this. We were down 3 RNs yesterday and will be down 2 today. I needed the inspiration. ❤️
I'm happy it was helpful to you. Keep the faith sister! You're doing the Lord's work.

As we've discussed at church, we knew the same people; just at different places in their trajectories! Thank you!
