I have showed up to the emergency department a time or two. I want to thank you personally, as well as all your coworkers for the work that you have done on my behalf, and on the behalf of those I love.
I think it behooves to assess where we really are. One of my favorite ER docs who had taken care of both our moms many times suddenly died by suicide the year before I retired. Caught all of us off guard. Even those who worked closely with him daily had no idea about his mental state. Still had kids at home, wife had gone to get her hair done. Seemed to be a split second decision. So sad. 😞

That’s very kind of you Chris! Even though there are hard days, it is our pleasure, trust me.
You tell it like it is, but do we really feel it like it is like you do?
I guess it’s hard to feel anyone else’s job or experiences unless you do the same thing. Thanks for the kindness!
But that stress takes a toll. Thank you for continuing to do what you do!
It does. And I wonder if we really understand the depths of that toll! I doubt it. And maybe it’s good that we don’t?

Be well. ❤️🙏🏻
