Dr. Leap, I am a RN with 32 years of experience as a RN, and I first started as an EMT in 1979. I have spent the last 30 years as a RN in Emergency Departments. I am 60 years old, the oldest nurse, heck, the oldest medical individual in my Emergency Department, and I am tired. I can't retire for at least seven more years thanks to the "Biden economy," I am depressed, sad, and frustrated... but at least I can teach, mentor, and precept the next generation of nurses and techs... until I crash or die. Keep writing, encouraging, and teaching as long as you can, because you give us old-timers hope and encouragement that we are doing the right thing.
I have been more or less hungry every minute of my life. To lose weight I figured I would have to be more hungry. So I decided to be hungry for some length of time every day.....Now I eat only noon to 7 PM. The weight is falling off. Try it!
Just imagine how much better off we would be, and dollars saved if everyone followed these recommendations, and lost weight, exercised regularly, avoided tobacco and illicit drugs, cut back on alcohol consumption and learned simple 1st aid...including how to take care of simple illnesses...without burdening our health care system! (That's one long sentence!)

Me too. I couldn't agree more.
