I just love to read your writings. They show the true picture of life in the ER that people will never understand, nor really know about until it's on the national level. Like "Blew" said, this one is so powerful. As a former ER nurse, this evokes anxiety for the helplessness we felt when our patients couldn't get the help they needed and we knew they would surely die without proper care.
Getting attention for this crisis on the national level is a whole other matter. In the meantime, I'll continue to read your writings with heartfelt empathy and fondly recall my time in the ER with such amazing medical professionals doing their best with what they had to offer.
